We are excited to continue our Romans topic into Spring 2!
This half term, our topic explores the expansion of the Roman Empire from a geographical perspective. The children will develop their atlas skills, learning how to locate countries and key regions connected to the Roman Empire. They will explore how the Empire spread across continents and consider the geographical features that influenced its growth.
We will also be building our digital mapping skills, using technology to investigate and identify physical and human geographical features. This will help the children deepen their understanding of how geography shapes historical events and developments.
To support learning at home, children can complete activities from the Creative Homework page, which links closely to our classroom learning. These activities are designed to spark curiosity, encourage creativity and further develop geographical understanding in an enjoyable way.
We’re really looking forward to an engaging and interactive half term and can’t wait to see the children’s enthusiasm as they explore the world of Roman geography!
