We are excited to launch our brand new Geography topic, Extreme Earth! 🌍

This half term, the children will journey deep beneath the Earth’s surface to explore the different layers of our planet. They will learn how the Earth is structured and discover how powerful natural processes shape the world around us.

As the topic unfolds, we will investigate a range of extreme natural events including volcanoes, earthquakes, tsunamis and tornados. The children will explore how and why these events occur, where they are most likely to happen and the impact they can have on both people and the environment. Along the way, they will build their understanding of key geographical concepts such as physical processes, tectonic activity and natural hazards.

To support learning at home, children can complete activities from the Creative Homework page, which link closely to our classroom learning. These tasks are designed to inspire curiosity, encourage creativity and deepen understanding in a fun and engaging way.

We’re really looking forward to an exciting and thought-provoking half term, and can’t wait to see the children’s curiosity grow as they explore the powerful forces of our planet! 🌋
