    How to become a Governor

Our Governing Body is made up of representatives of St Stephen's Church, the Local Authority, Staff and parents. Governors come from all walks of life and have a variety of business, education and commercial experiences and skills.

If you would like to know more about becoming a school governor and what the role involves, please speak to the Headteacher, who will give you further information and advise you on what to do next.

    Governor Vacancies

We do not currently have any vacancies on our governing body. When vacancies arise, we will post them here, along with details of how to apply.

The governing bodies of Church of England schools, and foundation governors in particular, have a special responsibility for ensuring that the Christian character of the school is secured and developed and that the school is run in accordance with its trust deed and the ethos statement which appear in its Instrument of Government.
