Values & Vision
‘We are cherished We are challenged We are children of God’
Our school vision
We are cherished- valued and supported members of the school community
We are challenged- faced with difficult questions we try and find the right pathways in learning and behaviour
We are children of God- we behave in a way which shows respect for and takes into consideration wider spiritual issues
This vision is complemented by our values tree based on Psalm 1.
Psalm 1: 1-3
1 Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.
Central to our aims is an expectation that the children of Kirkstall St Stephen’s CE Primary School will display high standards of behaviour and treat other people as they would wish to be treated themselves in accordance with our school rules. We promote an environment which helps children develop into confident, well-motivated and hard- working pupils who enjoy school and have high self-esteem, and who go onto achieve their full potential.
